Established in 2007, the Jim Dunn Memorial Scholarship Committee raises funds for West Virginia’s college-bound track and field and cross country athletes. We believe in the capabilities of our youth, because like you, they value the benefits of education, hard work, discipline, and helping others succeed. To date, we have awarded $25,000 in college scholarships to 33 student athletes throughout the Mountain State.

Our accomplishments are made possible by corporate and individual sponsorships of our annual fundraising event. In addition to event day recognition, our sponsors benefit from widespread pre-event promotions.

Each year, more than 500 participants gather to support our cause at the Jim Dunn Memorial Scholarship Twilight 5-miler (Jim Dunn Run). We want our community to know that you believe in our mission and share in our values of education and healthy lifestyles for our youth.

In 2013, we expanded our community outreach to include SteppingStones of Monongalia County as a co-benefactor from race registrations. SteppingStones provides year-round, high quality recreation and personal development opportunities to children and adults with disabilities in Monongalia County.
