Wharf Street Parking Garage - Morgantown, WV
RACE DESCRIPTION
Due to construction on the Caperton Trail, we have a new flat and fast course along Decker’s Creek this year. As in the past, runners will begin at the Wharf District parking garage, proceed down Clay Street, turn left at Mechanic Street, and travel up two blocks and turning left on Don Knotts Blvd to cross the highway bridge. Runners will turn left on Garrett Street, and left again at the Transit Authority Depot Station heading toward Sabraton on the Decker's Creek Rail Trail to the turning point across the foot bridge at Marilla Park. The course loops around the skate park, ball diamond and picnic pavilion and exits Marilla Park through the parking lot and over the low-water bridge at White Ave. Runners will turn left at Decker’s Creek Blvd and return on Decker’s Creek Rail Trail toward the finish line at the roundabout at the Transit Authority Depot Station between the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and the Wharf Street Parking Garage. Mile markers will be positioned along the trail.
